Licensed, Certified, Registered: New Haven In-Home Care Inc. is licensed with Department of Social Services, all our home care aides are experienced, with certifications and registered with California Home Care Aide Registry. We continue to provide integrity comprehensive orientation program training and in-services to increase skills, education and learning and evaluate skills and performance regularly.
Compliance with Labor Laws: New Haven In-Home Care Inc. is compliant with fair labor standard act rules and law: (a) Live-in home care aides requiring 6 hours of sleep and 2 hours break during the day (labor law requires 30 minutes break in the morning, 1 hour break for lunch and 30 minutes break in the afternoon, 6 hour sleep at night), (b) 24 Hour home care aides often times (2) home care aides 12 hour shifts for higher level of care patients. (standard break – 30 minutes every 4hours, 1 hour lunch break and 30 minutes in the afternoon), (c) AB 241 overtime rule applies for all caregivers working over 9 hours are paid time and a half for every hour worked over 45 hours a week. Live-in home care aides are paid overtime on sleep hours (labor law on sleeping time exemption). Home care aides are provided with workers compensation, bonded, professional and liability insurance coverage.
Quality Care Services: New Haven In-Home Care Inc. provides comprehensive clients assessment and evaluation from a registered nurse (RN) to evaluate conducts comprehensive clinical assessment of clients upon admission to the agency. Assessment are based on medical history, availability of support system, living arrangement and identifying the unique needs of the client. Will then formulate a plan of care based on client’s unique needs and discuss with home care aides how to implement the plan and how to care for the client. Home care aides report any change in condition to the RN to coordinate with physician’s treatment plans and proper management. When clients need referral for rehabilitation, a rehabilitation consult is provided by a physical therapist or home health agency for higher level of skilled care.
Availability: New Haven In-Home Care Inc. is committed to provide you with home care services accessible when you need one. Our on-call client care coordinator is 24 hours a day 7 days a week, flexible, be willing to meet clients and families late evening, off-office hours, weekends, or for any unforeseen discharge plans dates and time. Service contracts are explained to clients to understand what is covered before closing. No hidden fees for specific services. We accept checks, and cash for payment.
Appropriate Referrals: New Haven In-Home Care Inc. will make necessary referrals to appropriate agencies and providers when deemed needed: durable medical equipment coordination, transportation to and from medical appointments, referrals to home health agency for higher level of care, referrals to resources needed to accomplish quality of life, adult day health, meals on wheels.
